Saturday Classic goal is to provide an environment that fosters fellowship, laughter, and fun for all players with different skills. We welcome anyone who wants to challenge themselves at the game of golf, and have fun doing it!
About us
The “Buzzell Group” started in 2006 at Houston Lake Country Club, with Keith Statzer, Chas Felton, Kevin Enckler, Charlie Bibb, and Mark Buzzell. Tom Gray joined the group around 2010 when he moved to middle Georgia. The group was moved to Southern Landings late 2016 early 2017 when new ownership occurred, and the Dunaway family purchased the property. Since then the group has grown from just a handful of golfers to roughly 30 to 40 golfers weekly. We are proud of where the group started, and how far along the group has come.
Our Philosophy
We strive to always play for the love of the game, remove expectations and to challenge ourselves. This sport can be extremely rewarding if we follow a process, and equally frustrating if we lack direction.
